眼科学 <臨床医学領域 眼科学講座>
Ophthalmology <Clinical Medicine Department of Ophthalmology>
当講座は、群馬県と隣接する埼玉県や長野県の約300万人の眼科センターになっている。幅広い領域の眼科疾患に対して先進的な検査及び治療を行うことを目指している。年間の手術件数は硝子体手術 約1000件、緑内障手術 約300件と豊富である。数多くの臨床研究を行っており、様々な疾患の病態解明、新規治療の開発を志している。後期研修医は、2年間の初期臨床研修の後、約２年間大学病院に在籍する。指導医の管理のもと、受持医として患者を診察する一方、講義・実習、症例検討会、輪読会などの教育を受ける。大学院は臨床研修が終了してから入学する。基礎教室と連携して基礎研究を行うコースと、眼科臨床をしながら臨床研究で学位を取得するコースがある。学外の医師には夜間大学院コースが用意されている。大学院卒業後は国外留学もしくは専門的な眼科臨床にもどる選択肢がある。当科は眼底疾患の国際フェローシップの受け入れ施設にもなっている。
Our department is a center of eye service in Gunma Prefecture and surrounding area, which have 3 million people. We provide medical service for various ophthalmologic disorders with advanced technology.
Our department is highly reputed in management of vitreoretinal diseases. We have 1400 surgeries in a year and the majority of them are vitreoretinal diseases. Our clinical research is at international level and we are developing newly surgical treatment for various vitreoretinal diseases. Residents have about two years training at university hospital. Our education course includes clinical practice under supervisor, a series of lectures and clinical conference . Postgraduate school is available after two years residency. Postgraduate school provides two courses including basic research such as molecular biology, physiology and pathology and clinical research of ophthalmology. Doctors outside the university can participate in the postgraduate school at night and week end. After graduation, there are two choices, study in abroad and advanced training in clinical ophthalmology. We accept the international fellowship in program of international federation of ophthalmic society (ICO) / international council of ophthalmology (ICO).
