小児科学は、胎児期からAYA世代までの幅広い年齢の、さまざまな疾患を扱う学問分野です。また、予防接種、感染症の予防、学校保健など、社会と密接に関連する保健領域もカバーしています。小児科は、子どもたちの大切な命を守り、健やかな成長を促し、次世代へと繋げる役割を担っています。小児科学では、子どもに関連する幅広い知識と技術の習得、そして豊かな人間性と倫理観の涵養が求められます。
当分野は、群馬県の小児医療の最後の砦として、全ての臨床分野をカバーできるグループを備えています。新たな治療法や患者のQOL向上のために、遺伝子解析からフィールドワークに至るまで、各分野の専門家が精力的に研究に取り組んでいます。患者から学ぶ姿勢と確かな診断の目を次世代に伝えることを教育のモットーとしています。

Pediatrics is a discipline that addresses a diverse range of diseases across a wide age spectrum, from the fetal stage to the AYA generation. It also encompasses health-related aspects deeply intertwined with society, such as vaccinations, prevention of infectious diseases, and school health. Pediatrics plays a crucial role in safeguarding the precious lives of children, fostering their healthy development, and ensuring their well-being is passed on to the future generation. The field demands the acquisition of extensive knowledge and skills pertinent to children, along with the cultivation of a profound sense of humanity and ethics.

As the final stronghold of pediatric medicine in Gunma Prefecture, our department boasts groups that encompass all clinical areas. Specialists in various domains are vigorously involved in research, ranging from genetic analysis to fieldwork, aiming to develop new therapeutic methods and enhance the quality of life for affected children. Our educational ethos is to convey to the next generation the importance of learning from these children and possessing a keen diagnostic eye.
