当教室は、呼吸器病学・アレルギー学を専門としています。臨床においては、肺癌・気管支喘息・間質性肺炎・呼吸器感染症といった領域の研究・診療・教育を一貫して行っています。また、大学院では上記疾患の発症機構や治療法の開発を研究しております。我が国の高齢化は進み、呼吸器疾患の患者は増加の一途を辿っています。そして、アレルギー疾患の患者さんも増加し病態も多様化しています。教室員の力を合わせ、呼吸器疾患、アレルギー疾患に対する高いレベルの診療を行いつつ、その病態解明、診断・治療法に関する研究を行い国内外に発信しています。呼吸器病学・アレルギー学にはまだまだ解明できていないことが多い領域です。新たな病態を解明する基礎研究を行う人材、総合的な視野で新規の診断法や治療法を開発する臨床研究を行う人材、そのような優れた人材を育成していくことも我々の喜びであり、そのような若い力の参集を期待しています。

Our course specializes in respiratory illness and allergology. In clinical practice, we consistently conduct research, medical care, and education in areas such as lung cancer, bronchial asthma, interstitial pneumonia, and respiratory infections. In addition, at the graduate school, we are studying the onset mechanism of the above diseases and the development of treatment methods. The aging of Japan is advancing, and the number of patients with respiratory diseases is steadily increasing. The number of patients with allergic diseases is increasing and the pathological conditions are diversifying. Together with the power of the classroom staff, we provide high-level medical care for respiratory diseases and allergic diseases, while conducting research on the pathophysiology, diagnosis and treatment methods, and disseminating them both domestically and internationally. This is an area that is often unclear in respiratory pathology and allergology. It is our pleasure to develop human resources who carry out basic research to elucidate new pathological conditions, human resources who carry out clinical research to develop new diagnostic methods and treatment methods from a comprehensive perspective, and such excellent human resources. Yes, I look forward to the gathering of such young powers.
