皮膚は、全身を覆い内臓を守る重要な臓器であり、人体最大の臓器です。皮膚に生じる全ての疾患を扱うため、皮膚科学の診療領域は多岐にわたります。主に、①皮膚アレルギー・炎症性疾患・自己免疫異常疾患や膠原病に代表される「内科的皮膚疾患」と②良性腫瘍や悪性腫瘍の切除、再建、化学療法を含めた「外科的皮膚疾患」に分類されます。皮膚病変部の病理組織所見から数多くの情報を得ることができるため、皮膚科学は「マクロからミクロへ、そして、ミクロからマクロへ」と綺麗につながった一連のロジックを体験できる魅力ある学問です。
我々は、日常診療で出会った症例を大事にして、臨床の中で感じた疑問点や問題を解明したいという熱い思いをもって研究を行っています。少しでも患者さんの治療に還元できる成果をあげることを教室の目標としています。研究内容は、内科、外科、病理と幅広くあり、群馬大学内外の臨床や基礎の教室との共同研究や医工連携を積極的に進めてきました。海外留学生を多く受け入れており、国際色豊かな研究室になっています。

The skin is the largest organ in the human body, covering the entire body and protecting internal organs. The field of dermatology covers a wide range of diseases that occur in the skin. It is mainly categorized into (1) " the internal medicine skin diseases" represented by skin allergies, inflammatory diseases, autoimmune disorders and collagen diseases, and (2) " the surgical skin diseases" including excision, reconstruction and chemotherapy of benign and malignant tumors. Since numerous information can be obtained from histopathological findings of skin lesions, dermatology is a fascinating discipline that allows us to experience a series of logics that are neatly connected "from macro to micro, and from micro to macro.
We conduct our research with a passion for clarifying the questions and problems that we feel in our clinical work, valuing the cases we encounter in our daily practice. Our goal is to produce results that can contribute to the treatment of patients. Our research covers a wide range of fields, including internal medicine, surgery, and pathology, and we have been actively promoting joint research and medical-industrial collaboration with clinical and basic research departments in and outside of Gunma University. We have accepted many international students and have become a laboratory with a global community.
