泌尿器科が担当する分野は、腎、尿管、膀胱、前立腺、精巣などの尿路・男性生殖器です。これらの臓器に生じた悪性腫瘍に対して専門的な治療を行うとともに、尿路結石症、尿路感染症、排尿障害、男性不妊症、男性更年期障害、性機能障害などの専門診療を行っています。腎不全に対する腎移植の体制も確立しています。
- 前立腺癌の基礎的、臨床的研究で日本の中心的役割を担っております。前立腺癌検診、早期診断、家族性前立腺癌、遺伝子解析、脂質代謝、組織内分泌、アポトーシス等の研究に実績があります。さらに尿路上皮癌の研究も行っています。学内・学外の研究室とのコラボレーションも行っています。
- 低侵襲手術として腹腔鏡手術を腎・尿管・膀胱の悪性腫瘍に対して積極的に行い、群馬県内における泌尿器腹腔鏡技術認定医の指導を行なっています。また、ロボット支援手術として、前立腺癌の摘出術、腎癌の部分切除術に加えて、膀胱癌の摘出術を開始しています。
- 生体腎、献腎の腎移植に常時対応可能な体制が整備されています。
We specialize in diagnosing and treating conditions related to the urinary tract and male reproductive organs. These include cancer in the prostate, kidney, bladder, and testis. We also treat patients with urolithiasis, benign prostate hyperplasia, urinary tract infection, male infertility, late-onset hypogonadism, and chronic kidney disease.
- We lead the basic and clinical studies of prostate cancer in Japan, including optimal screening strategies for prostate cancer, genetic studies for familial prostate cancer, steroidogenesis in the prostate cancer tissues, and exploiting lipid metabolism and apoptotic pathways for novel prostate cancer treatment. We also started the research on urothelial cancer. We seek collaboration with clinicians and researchers interested in urological cancers.
- We, qualified urologists by the Japanese Urological Association, perform laparoscopic surgeries for cancer in the kidney, pelvis, ureter, and bladder. We also provide robotic surgeries for small kidney, prostate, and bladder cancers.
- Our team provides dialysis and kidney transplantation to treat chronic kidney disease.
