The Course of Medical Sciences is composed of 4 Divisions including 8 Subdivisions, 4 Cooperative Departments, and one Connection Department. Each Subdivisions is characterized by their unique and organized combination of basic and clinical Departments. This system enables to enhance joint research between basic and clinical researchers under intimate cooperation towards the achievement of each major projects.
This Division devotes to perform highly advanced and international researchs on the genesis, development and function of the nervous system in molecular, cellar, tissue and organ levels. Our goal is to utilize the resulted knowledges through translational researches for improvement of the diagnosis and treatment of intractable diseases of the nervous system. From the viewpoint of metabolic abnormality and inflammatory damage of the human organs, tissues and cells, this Division carrys out advanced basic research, and develops diagnostic and therapeutic methods of the diseases. We raise, on the basis of organic fusion of basic and clinical reseaches, capable graduate students with superior ability for advanced medical research. This Division devotes to reseaches of pathomechanism and development of advanced diagnostic, therapeutic, and prophylactic methods for deseases of the circulatory, respiratory and sensory systems and human malignancies as well.
Basic and clinical Departments cooperatively collaborates to tansform advanced genomic and biomedical informations into the highly advanced medical treatment.
The Division researchs on the pathomechnisms of newly- and re-emerged infectious diseases and on the defence mechanism involving the immune and hematopoietic systems. Our goal is to achieve a highly advanced diagnostic and therapeutic methods of the diseases. We also contributes to the society by studying the relationship of natural and social environments of the earth to the medical science on the basis of informatics and ethics.
